What should I prepare for a first meeting?

Any document that helps understand your situation: the company's articles of association and trade register extract, relevant contracts, deeds and past court decisions. A short chronology of the facts helps get straight to the point. Flag any imminent date at first contact: hearing, summons or appeal deadline.

What am I risking in a criminal case linked to my company?

It depends on the facts, on how they are characterised and on your role in the company. The same matter may lead to criminal penalties, but also to civil, tax or professional consequences. The risk is assessed case by case, on the basis of the documents, from the first meeting, under professional secrecy. Early analysis generally preserves more options.

A complaint has been filed against me: what should I do?

Do not face it alone. Do not contact the complainant or the witnesses to explain yourself, keep all documents without destroying any, and consult a lawyer before attending any summons. Fassi Fehri Attorneys reviews the file, prepares your interview and assists you at every stage where the law allows a lawyer to intervene.

Can a company with an in-house legal department enter into an agreement?

Yes. The agreement allows the legal department to entrust its proceedings to a dedicated lawyer, without having to select and brief one for each new matter.
